U.S. hotel results for week ending Aug. 22

The U.S. hotel industry reported a 19th consecutive week of positive year-over-year comparisons, according to CoStar data through Aug. 22.

August 16-22 (percentage change from comparable week in 2025):

Occupancy: 66.7% (+2.1%)
ADR: $159.11 (+2.3%)
RevPAR: $106.12 (+4.4%)

Among the top 25 markets, San Francisco saw the highest increases in occupancy (+13.2% to $79.10) and RevPAR (+26.0% to $165.00).

St. Louis, host of the BMW Championship, reported the largest ADR lift (+11.4% to $135.43) and the second-highest gains in occupancy (+10.5% to 66.8%) and RevPAR (+23.1% to $90.53).

Las Vegas registered the steepest declines in occupancy (-17.4% to 60.0%) and RevPAR (-20.0% to $95.15), while New York City saw the largest ADR drop (-6.8% to $262.63).
